Deep neck flexor holds and isometric training have limited value. Pain may go down and neck flexor endurance in a specific position may improve, but global strength and muscle growth will be stagnant.
The neck, like the low back, isn’t fragile and incapable of being trained at moderate and vigorous intensities.
